Git n Go Robbery. The Des Moines Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating a witnesses to a robbery.
On Thursday Oct 30th at 12:07 am the Git n Go Convenience store at 806 SE 14th St in Des Moines reported that black male suspect, described as appx 5’ 10” and 140 lbs wearing a dark blue hoodie, jeans and a dark piece of cloth over his face entered the business. The suspect held a black handgun pointing it at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot.
During this robbery there was another individual inside the store. This unidentified male (shown in surveillance photos) ran after the suspect but did not return. Des Moines Police Detectives feel this witness may be able to provide relevant information regarding this crime and possibly help identify the suspect. Metro's Most Wanted. Deshaun Lonte Trombone 24, is wanted for 16 counts of Violation of a No Contact Order. Trombone is 6'1, 190lbs, black hair and brown eyes. If you know where to find Trombone call Crime Stoppers at 223-1400. You could receive a reward of up to $500.
Stole credit cards. Do You Know These People???? The suspects are a male described as 25-35ys, facial hair, wearing a ball cap and a female 30-40yrs, wearing athletic wear and ball cap. They are driving a newer sliver or gray Chevy Traverse. Click here for photo. If you can ID these people contact:
Bank Robbery at Central Bank. The Des Moines Police is asking for the public’s help identifying a robbery suspect. On Thursday October 9th at 3:44 pm, the Des Moines Police Communications Center received a report of bank robbery at the Central Bank at 2742 Hubbell Ave. in Des Moines.
Witnesses stated a black male approximately 5-8 to 5-10 with a thin build entered the business carrying a screw driver and a red “Iowa State” back pack. The suspect jumped over the counter and demanded cash placing it inside the red bag before leaving on foot. The suspect was dressed in black with a black stocking hat with gold or yellow stitching.

10/13/2014 Robbery - Valero convenience store
On 11 Oct 2014 at approx. 950 pm, a robbery occurred at the Valero convenience store, 2829 Easton Blvd. No weapons were displayed during the robbery. The suspect fled with cash and cigarettes.
The Des Moines Police Dept. is requesting assistance with identifying the suspect in the accompanying photographs. The suspect is described as a white male adult in his 20’s, approx.. 6’1”, 220 lbs. He was wearing what appears to be a white-colored, “Hurley” brand hooded sweatshirt with an insignia patch on the left sleeve. Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored vehicle (unknown make and model) fleeing the scene.

10/9/2014 Stranger Danger! A 12-year-old girl in West Des Moines reported a man asked her to get in his SUV Thursday morning. The incident was reported at 7:15 a.m. in the 1300 block of Grand Avenue.
The child was walking to school when a dirty white older style Jeep SUV stopped in the road and the driver asked the child if she wanted a ride. Police said the child yelled "No" and ran to school and reported the incident to school staff. Police said the driver was described as being a white male, 35 to 40 years old, with brown hair and possibly unshaven.

10/6/2014 - Stolen credit card investigation. West Des Moines Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a stolen credit card investigation. The suspect utilized a stolen credit card at Valley West Mall. The vehicle that was operated by the suspect is also pictured.
Anyone with information concerning this case, specifically the identity of the suspect, is asked to contact Polk County Crime Stoppers 515-223-1400. Polk County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) involved in this incident.
8/12/2014 - Urbandale Police Seek Leads in Bar Shooting. Urbandale police are still investigating a weekend shooting at a bar that left three people injured, but have not identified any suspects. Officers responded to Euro Bar, 7625 Hickman Road, around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, authorities said. They found a 22-year old man with a gunshot wound to his wrist and a 21-year-old man who had been shot in the foot, police said. A third victim, a 20 year-old woman, later went to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her thigh stemming from the same incident, officials said. None of the injuries were life-threatening, authorities said. The shooting occurred in the parking lot after bar staff removed several people involved in a confrontation inside.

7/10/2014 - Sexual Assault of a 4 Year Old. The Des Moines Police Department is investigating the sexual assault of a 4 yr old that occurred on July 9th 2014 at approximately 11:30 am. The assault happened near 5528 Meredith Dr. in Des Moines. The male suspect led the victim to a tree line behind some garages where the assault took place. The victim ran home shortly after and reported the incident to her mother who called the police. The victim was not physically harmed and was only able to provide a limited description of the suspect—an adult size black male wearing a white shirt and green and black shorts. Des Moines Police Detectives are diligently investigating this case working to identify the suspect.

The Des Moines Police Department would also like to emphasize the importance of proper and constant supervision of young children. We would also like to remind parents and families that it is appropriate to remind children frequently about “stranger danger” and the importance of not talking with strangers or going places with them.
